Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 Launch Date: The company Xiaomi is entering the foldable battle in 2024 with the new Mix Fold 4 launch confirmed for July in China. Finally, Xiaomi has officially confirmed that it will unveil the Mix Fold 4 at 7pm (local time) on July 19 in China.

While the company hasn’t confirmed it yet, it appears that the Xiaomi Mix Flip and the Redmi K70 Ultra will also debut at the same launch event. Apart from confirming the launch date, the company has also confirmed the design and key specifications of the Mix Fold 4.

The smartphone Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 poster released by the brand reveals that it will be available in at least blue and white shades. The back panel of the device has a rectangular camera module with a slight curvature on its bottom edge. A recent leak suggested that the Mix Fold 4 will also come in a black variant. Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 Specifications: Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 will come a thin and light body. Even though the body is blue, the camera module is black, and has a rounded shape. The Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 adopts an inward folding screen. The image also shows a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is expected to feature IPX8 water-resistant ratings.

The phone will feature a Leica Summilux lens for the first time. Based on earlier rumours, it will feature a 50-megapixel OV50E 1/1.55″ main camera, 13MP OV13B 1/3.06″ ultra-wide-angle camera, 60MP OV60A 1/2.8″ 2x portrait camera and a 10MP S5K3K1 1/3.94″ 5x periscope telephoto lens camera. There will be a 16MP OV16F front camera.

Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 Features: According to the brand, the Mix Fold 4 will be its first foldable phone to feature the Xiaomi Dragon Bone Hinge 2.0, greatly improving reliability while maintaining its thinness. To minimise its weight, the device is built with the T800H high-strength carbon fibre full-carbon architecture. The Mix Fold 4 weighs 226g and has a thickness of 9.47mm. When it comes to durability, it will offer IPX8-rated water resistance.

The Mix Fold 4 features a Leica quad-camera setup with a 5X periscope lens and a portrait telephoto lens, allowing for telephoto macro photography. Additionally, the device offers 50W wireless charging and two-way satellite communication.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun Annual Speech will also be there at the launch event. We should know more details in the coming days, before the phone goes official later this week.

The company has a previous in the segment but most of them have been limited to its domestic market. The Mix Fold 4 is likely to get a wider launch but there are still question marks about its availability in countries like India where the foldable lineup has intensified this year, with more to follow.
