Google Pixel 9 Series Features: Finally, the world’s most popular company Google is all set to launch a new smartphone series Google Pixel 9 globally on 13 August 2024. According to several online leaks, a new pink variant of Google Pixel 9 will make its global debut next month and this new variant is already available in the Algeria in 256GB storage. The company is anticipated to unveil the Google Pixel 9 series at a hardware event which is scheduled for 10:30 pm IST.

Currently, there is no information about the number of devices that will be launched in the upcoming Google Pixel 9 series. However, as per tipsters, four smartphones including Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Fold will make a debut at the launch event. The features and specifications of the Google Pixel 9 series are yet to be revealed but some tipsters suggest that the lineup will arrive with Android 15 and Tensor G4 SoC.

Google Pixel 9 Series Features Specifications: Google Pixel 9 Series is gearing up to launch its next line-up of Pixel smartphones – the Pixel 9 series, and this line-up will reportedly feature a faster, more reliable ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, according to Android Authority.

This new technology will replace the Pixel 6’s optical under-display fingerprint sensor, improving the ability to read wet or oily fingerprints. The switch to ultrasonic sensors addresses issues with light levels and finger dryness that affected the previous optical readers.

Optical scanners, the older method, detect patterns and ridges by flashing light against the finger, but dirt or blemishes can interfere. In contrast, ultrasonic sensors provide greater accuracy by bouncing ultrasonic pulses off fingerprints, performing better even at night.

Google Pixel 9 Series will use Qualcomm’s 3D Sonic Gen 2 (QFS4008) sensor, the same model used in the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensors are claimed to be faster and more accurate than optical sensors. They are also said to work better if the users’ fingers are wet or a little dusty and they don’t need a part of the display to light up to work.

The Google Pixel 9 series phones are likely to be powered by Tensor G4 SoCs and ship with Android 15. The base Pixel 9 handset may get a 6.24-inch AMOLED screen, while the Pro and XL variants are tipped to sport 6.34-inch and 6.73-inch AMOLED screens, respectively. Notably, the vanilla Google Pixel 9 was recently leaked in a pink color option with a pill-shaped rear camera module.

The report notes that the new ultrasonic fingerprint scanner will be included in all Pixel 9 models except the upcoming Fold 2, which will retain its power button-based fingerprint sensor. More details are expected to be revealed during Google’s Pixel 9 hardware event on August 13th.

Lots of supposed hardware improvements are said to be coming. These include an Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, an updated Tensor G4 processor, and a new boxier design. The latter is going to be one of the most notable changes to the Pixel series since its inception.

Following or adopting a more iPhone-like design could be a big win or even mean that fewer people are interested in the Pixel 9 than in the bubbly, friendly aesthetic that Google has cultivated with the entire Pixel lineup – and associated Android builds – over the past 4-5 years.
